This project is a documentation of a dynamic mechnical model based on the abstraction of leaf swarm intellegence. Plates were created to fucntion as apertures of varying dimensions that were interconnected both in the horizontal and vertical plane to document the impact of various degrees of motion on the shadow result created.

Swarm intelligence agents follow very simple rules, and although there is no centralized control structure dictating how individual agents should behave, local, and to a certain degree random, interactions between such agents lead to the emergence of "intelligent" global behavior, unknown to the individual agents.
